You've never done a HYROX race
LimiterIQ's limiter system depends on you having felt the stations under fatigue. Without race experience, the diagnostic input is too theoretical, and the plan output is too specific. Better fit: do a HYROX Open or Doubles event first (4-6 weeks of generic CrossFit-style prep is plenty), then come back. We're not the on-ramp; we're the next level up.
You don't have a race date booked
"Maybe a race later this year" doesn't give the plan anywhere to peak toward. The whole structure, base → build → sharpen → taper, collapses without a date. Better fit: book the race first. HYROX schedules are usually 8-12 months out for major events. Once you have a date, come back.
You're looking for general fitness
HYROX-specific training is narrow on purpose, it trades versatility for race-day specificity. You'll get good at sled push and wall ball and station-fatigued running. You won't get good at Olympic lifting, gymnastics, or pure strength. Better fit: CrossFit, a strength program, or a personal trainer with general goals.
You're recovering from a serious injury
The plan generator can scale loads down, but it's not a rehab program. If you're under 6 months post-surgery or in active physio for something significant, work with your physio first. Better fit: a physio-led return-to-sport program, then us once you're cleared.
You're under 18
HYROX training at adult intensity is hard on developing joints and recovery systems, and our terms of service require 18+. Better fit: a qualified youth strength coach who understands age-appropriate progressions.
You want a "do this every week" template
LimiterIQ regenerates weekly based on your check-in data. If you'd prefer to see all 16 weeks at once and just follow the PDF without honest weekly input, the product feels like overhead. Better fit: a static 16-week HYROX block from any reputable HYROX coach (there are good free ones).
You're looking for a coach in your DMs
The Training Lab has coach replies on questions (~48h SLA) but it's not 1:1 coaching. If you want direct messaging with a coach who knows your name and your week-to-week details, the founding rate doesn't cover that. Better fit: a HYROX coach who works in-person or via dedicated 1:1 (typically A$150-300/month).
