There is no honest one-size-fits-all winner. The best option depends on whether you need limiter diagnosis, run-led structure, race tracking, an official coaching ecosystem, or a human watching your training.
The short answer
Choose LimiterIQ if you want your weekly training built around your assessed limiter, available equipment, schedule and logged work. Choose Runna if you want a polished, run-led HYROX plan with strength, mobility and an in-app community. Choose ROXFIT if race tracking, custom workout building and wearable execution matter most. Use HYROX365 to find the official gym and coach ecosystem. Use Strava for recording and social motivation, not as a replacement for programming.

Ask an AI chat for a HYROX-style plan and you'll get something that reads well. The problem isn't the writing, it's that a chat doesn't hold your training state. It doesn't remember what you actually did last week, it can't verify its own prescriptions, and every new conversation starts close to zero.
LimiterIQ runs a deterministic engine fed by a 29-question assessment that scores your limiter across 8 systems: running, strength, skill, engine, durability, pacing, consistency and equipment. When AI is used at all, it only drafts strategy, and the engine validates that draft before anything reaches your calendar. Nothing lands in your week unchecked.
Template plans are cheap and some are well written. But a template is finished before it ever meets you. It doesn't know your equipment, no sled at your gym? The template prescribes sled pushes anyway. It doesn't know your schedule, and it doesn't know your race date, so the same week 6 lands whether your race is in two months or eight.
LimiterIQ builds the plan from those inputs. No sled access? Sessions substitute automatically. Your available days and your race date set the structure, not a page number.
Apps built for road running are genuinely good at one thing: running. But hybrid racing isn't lost on the runs alone, it's lost at the stations and in compromised running, the kilometres you run on legs the sled just emptied. A running plan doesn't train either.
LimiterIQ diagnoses which station or system is your limiter and builds the week around fixing it. And when life gets in the way and you miss sessions, it reduces the dose instead of cramming the missed work into what's left of the week.
Straight answer: a good human coach is the gold standard. They watch you move, read you in person, and adjust in real time. That typically costs A$150–400/month, and it's worth it if you can get it.
LimiterIQ is A$29/month at the founding rate. It regenerates your plan weekly from what you actually logged, and it's honest about its limits: it is software, not physiotherapy or medical care. If you need rehab or hands-on technique coaching, get that from a human.
The assessment is free, takes under 3 minutes, and no card is needed. If you subscribe, your first 7 days are free, cancel anytime during the trial and you're not charged. A$29/mo founding rate after, locked for life for the first 100 members.
